Stern & Wild client explores the promise and pitfalls of the NFT art movement

Congratulations to Stern & Wild filmmaker David Shulman, a BAFTA and Emmy award winner, whose feature documentary examining the impact of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on the international art scene is now available to stream on Netflix. The 90-minute film NFT:WTF? provides a fascinating perspective on the volatile NFT market through the eyes of some of its key players including artists Damien Hirst and Beeple (Mike Winkelmann), the founders of platforms and collections such as Art Blocks and The Bored Ape Yacht Club (pictured), and celebrity collectors such as Snoop Dogg.

The film is the first project from investment and production house Battersea Entertainment which was launched in 2022 by Josh Berger, former President and MD of Warner Bros UK, Republic of Ireland and Spain, and ex-BFI chair. It is helmed by David Shulman and co-produced by Atomized Studios which won the 2023 best single documentary BAFTA for The Real Mo Farah.
