Stern & Wild clients compete for best docuseries award

Best of luck to two Stern & Wild filmmakers whose work is in contention for the best docuseries Rockie Award at next week’s Banff World Media Festival. Zoe Dobson is the director of Greatest Guitar Riffs, a three-part docuseries unpicking the workings of some of the most famous riffs in musical history featuring celebrated guitarists Andy Summers (The Police), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Nancy Wilson (Heart) and Brian May (Queen). The series premiered on Sky Arts in November 2023.

Eoin O'Shea is the showrunner and series director of Lost Cities Revealed with Albert Lin, a reboot of the original Lost Cities format with the intrepid American explorer. The six-part series sees Lin push himself and his team to the edge to reveal a new raft of ancient lost cities in some of the most remote and hostile environments on earth, including our own Scottish Highlands! The series premiered on Nat Geo in December 2023.

The festival runs from 9 -12 June 2024. The awards ceremony will stream live on YouTube on 11 June at 5.30pm MT (Wed 00.30am BST).
