100 vaginas in an hour

We have a hundred vaginas to look forward to on Tuesday night. Director Jenny Ash had already been described to me by one senior executive producer as, “very brave, undaunted by situations where other directors would buckle”, and I’d imagined this meant her earlier work filming heated, threatening confrontations where she had to keep her professional cool. But now Jenny has worked undaunted in tandem with photographer Laura Dodsworth to document and learn as a wide-ranging company of women take the chance to know and love their own vulvas on camera. That’s a novel challenge drawing on Jenny’s authorial talent. I’ll be watching 100 Vaginas Tuesday 19th February 10pm on Channel 4.
