As Series Editor on Formula One: Drive to Survive, Nigel helped deliver Netflix’s highest profile, biggest budget, unscripted series to date, leading to its commission for a second season. His work on sports documentaries (including the acclaimed Netflix football series Sunderland ’Til I Die) follows his successes as Series Producer, Writer and Director of numerous documentaries and high-end drama-docs for all the U.K. channels and multiple global broadcasters - feature-length, singles and series. His films have gone on to win multiple awards and nominations, including Emmy and RTS. 

After leaving the BBC Science and Features department, he has worked in natural history (with Sir David Attenborough), biography (featuring Jackie Chan and Joan Chen) history, arts and science (Emmy nominated feature drama/documentary) amongst many others. Key productions include the drama-doc series Fatal Attractions (co-creator and series producer/director), the arts/science feature doc The Da Vinci Detective (Ch 4), the science/history feature doc Titanic: Case Closed (NGCI), Horizon, the observational doc The Language Master (BBC) and many others.

At the same time, Nigel has forged a parallel career in drama, directing Hollywood star talent in the narrative feature film Mothers & Daughters (starring Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Mira Sorvino, Courtney Cox amongst others). He has recently been collaborating with Oscar nominated DoP John Mathieson (Gladiator, Logan, X-Men, Mary Queen of Scots) on the development of a feature documentary, as well as having numerous drama projects in development.
