Duncan Coates is a BAFTA winning Showrunner and Executive Producer who has spent his career creating high quality factual programming for the world’s best broadcasters. He’s got a track record of producing first time series of real scale and ambition. And he is well known for his skill combining smart content with entertainment, character and emotion.
Duncan was responsible for devising ITV’s biggest ever factual hit, Long Lost Family, which he then showran for the first three seasons. And he is overseeing Limitless, a new multi-million-dollar science series for Disney+, starring Chris Hemsworth.
In addition to his work as a hands-on Showrunner, Duncan has combined Executive Producing with senior leadership roles at some of the UK's leading production companies including Shine and Betty. He has led large teams across multiple projects, building strong relationships with broadcasters and A-list talent. Credits include Secret Millionaire, Brat Camp and The Undatables for Channel 4, Everest for Discovery. Duncan is currently Showrunning a 4 part docuseries with Robbie Williams for Netflix.
